Five-year-old tiny girl Charlotte Garside, who is just 68cm tall and weighs less than nine pounds, is the same size as her favourite teddy and the smallest girl in the world. Tiny girl Charlotte was born with a form of Primordial Dwarfism so rare doctors don't even have a name for it. She lives with parents Emma and Scott Garside and sisters Chloe, Sabrina and Sophie in Withernsea, UK. Smallest girl Charlotte's mum was warned she might die before the age of one, but now aged five she has developed into a boisterous and inquisitive girl.
London Canal Party: Canalival on Regent's Canal
This London canal party on water was supposed to have been called off due to health and safety fears - but it seems these London canal party goers didn't get the memo. Hundreds ignored the official cancellation to hop aboard their dinghies and enjoy 2013 Canalival on Regents Canal in London. A narrowboat, complete with a booming sound system, led the inflatable flotilla along London's Regents Canal. The crowd set off from Gainsbourgh Studios and slowly drifted east to Hackney before partying into the evening. The event was generally good-natured but the earlier cancellation meant there was a lack of adequate facilities, local homeowners said, and some complained about littering and rowdiness. However, judging by these lively scenes, it didn't seem to deflate the party too much.

Crash Landing: Plane Crash Into A Garden In Cheltenham
A PILOT was lucky to escape with his life after his plane crash landed in a garden in Cheltenham, Gloucs, this morning. The 76-year-old man narrowly missed a nearby school and houses before crashing the single-engine Cirrus plane in to a fir tree just 20 feet from the home of Karen Dean and her partner Mike Carter. The pilot sustained minor injuries from the plane crash and was treated at the scene by paramedics. No-one else was hurt in the plane crash incident. A crew from Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service is currently making the area safe.

China Baby Saved: Firefighters, Medics Rescue Newborn From Sewer Pipe
Chinese state media say firefighters and medics have rescued a newborn boy from a sewer pipe below a squat toilet.
The state-run news site Zhejiang News says a tenant heard the baby's cries in the public restroom of a residential building in eastern China's Puijian county Saturday and notified authorities. Firefighters removed an L-shaped section of the pipe -- about 10 centimeters (3 inches) in diameter -- and rushed it to a hospital where it was dismantled and the baby was treated.
Video footage of the rescue was broadcast nationally overnight.
Zhejiang News says the child -- named Baby No. 59 from the number of his incubator -- is safe.
Police are treating the case as an attempted homicide, and are looking for the mother and anyone else involved.

This is the shocking moment a passenger jumps from a platform and runs in front of a moving train in a bid to stop it departing a station.
The 19.40 Ebbw Vale to Cardiff Central station was preparing to leave Crosskeys station on May 15 when the passenger launched a desperate bid to get on board.
The white man, wearing a red t-shirt and dark trousers, sprints from the pathway leading up to the station to the opposing platform before leaping onto the tracks.
He crosses directly in front of the train which is forced to screech to a halt.
But they remain locked as a train steward leans out of the front carriage to berate the man.
After a brief exchange, the doors remain closed and the train pulls away.
British Transport Police condemned the man's actions as 'utter stupidity' and have released footage of the incident in a bid to catch the offender.

'Frankenfish' Terrorises Waterways of New York
Invasive predator fish that can live out of water for days to be hunted in Central Park. Predatory 'Frankenfish' that looks like a snake and can live out of water for days terrorises NY. A toothy predator fish nicknamed Frankenfish is lurking in the lakes of Central Park, conservation workers believe.
Officials are set to survey one particular lake this week, searching for the northern snakehead fish that they say threatens to disrupt the ecosystem in Manhattan's premier ponds.
The fish, native to China, Russia and Korea, has been spotted in Queens and in Harlem in recent years. It preys on frogs and crayfish and is able to breathe air and live for days out of water in certain conditions.
The gruesome-looking creature, which has the head of a snake and the body of a fish, is so disruptive that the state prohibits possession, sale and transport of the live fish and its eggs, according to NBC News.
Department of Environmental Conservation has erected signs around the Harlem Meer warning anglers who snag one of the unappealing fish not to throw it back but to hand it over.
'Secure the fish' and 'keep it in a secure container until it is picked up by officials,' the sign instructs.
And if park officials cannot be found, fishing enthusiasts are urged to call 311 and report their snakehead fish catch.
'(The sign) is just to let people know that this fish is in there, if you find it please do not return it to the water and it also helps people become aware that there are things in the water that should not be there,' Melissa Cohen, Department of Environmental Conservation fisheries manager, told NBC News.
'It's a top predator so it eats other fish and alot of other things and it also produces a lot of eggs.'
None of the creatures turned up in surveys in 2009 and 2011 but the conservation department is testing again tomorrow.
'Hopefully we won't find any,' Cohen said.
Harlem Meer, a man-made lake, is located between 106th and 110th streets in Central Park's northeast corner.
Despite it's appearance, the fish reportedly graced the menu at Manhattan's Gramercy Tavern restaurant late last year.

Rita Ora paid a visit to a detox camp last week.
The 'Hot Right Now' hitmaker stayed at the Viva Mayr clinic in Austria, which costs around £1,500-a-night, to work on her summer body by undertaking a series of gruelling, but healthy, activities.
While at the facility, Rita was encouraged to chew each mouthful of food - which consisted of healthy and organic snacks washed down with magnesium powder mixed in warm water - between 30 and 40 times before swallowing it.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: ''It's the most opulent weight-loss and detox clinic in the world, and pretty hardcore.
''Rita wants to get in perfect shape for the summer and her forthcoming promo appearances. This was a last-ditch, and extreme, measure. Following a detailed examination and fitness test, she was given a rigid diet-and-exercise regime, with a few deep-tissue massages thrown in for good measure.
''The food is mainly boiled potatoes and broths, and guests are taught to savour their food by chewing it a minimum of 30 times per mouthful.''
The 22-year-old singer hopes the tough regime will help keep her in shape from now on and stick to the strict diet.
The source added: ''The progamme set for Rita was designed to be a blueprint for the rest of her life, helping her keep on the straight and narrow.''
Viva Mayr is described as ''sophisticated medical diagnostic clinic housed in a modern, five-star hotel'', which has previously been visited by stars such as Liz Hurley.
While its location is idyllic, near the border of Italy and Slovenia and overlooking Lake Wörth, Rita wasn't impressed with being cut-off from the rest of civilisation during her stay.
In a caption accompanying a photo of the scenery posted on her Instagram last Friday (19.04.13), she wrote: ''I know I shouldn't be instagraming I'm ment to be on a detox but ... I'm in the middle of no where!... (sic)''
Belgrade and Pristina talk over northern Kosovo
The Kosovan prime minister and his Serbian counterpart are in Brussels for talks which the EU hopes will end in a definitive deal over the fractious north of Kosovo.
It is the eighth session of talks between Hashim Thaci and Ivica Dacic.
Kosovo's majority ethnic Albanians declared independence from Serbia in 2008, something Serbia said it will never recognise.
But in the north it is the ethnic Serbs in the majority, and the river in Mitrovica divides the city into two ethnic groups.
There is still strong animosity towards the breakaway government from Kosovan Serbs like Tomislav Kostic.
"Let's see how the talks play out," he said, "but there is no way we will go with the Pristina authorities. Only with the state of Serbia, and that's it."
It is possible that a deal could include some form of self rule for the ethnic Serbs living in the north of Kosovo in exchange for Belgrade's recognition that Pristina has overall authority in the enclave.
Adem Mripa, an ethnic Albanian living in Mitrovica said: "If the Serbs want autonomy here, they should recognise the Albanians in the south and give it to the Hungarian and Bosnian minorities too."
A deal to end the effective partition of Mitrovica would grease the wheels of EU membership talks for Serbia. Belgrade's firm stance against an independent Kosovo has long been an obstacle.

Sri Lankan Tamil Mr.Mohanathas (Mohan) Sivanayakam broke the world record of Guinness by piercing 2020 Acupuncture needles on his head by himself. The previous record was made by a Chinese in 2009 by piercing 2011 needles. After watching that event he was very enthusiastic to break that record one day and he did it on December 3rd 2011 in Scarborough in front of many supporters, witnesses and the video recording. Dr. Paul Joseph was beside him and keeps on checking his heart beat often.
Mohan is 37 years old family man, from the village of "Moolaai" in Jaffna Sri Lanka currently living in Toronto, Canada. He is very ambitious from his young age to do some adventures and expose his hidden talent. When he was asked why did you choose this Acupuncher needle task, he replied the first thing I want to break that record, the second things is to proof to the public the well famous Chinese Acupuncture treatment for the sickness is very effective and risk free treatment. The entire Tamil community should be proud about Mr. Mohan's great deal.

A bus driver comes close to being killed by a falling lamppost - then manages to avoid disaster by bringing the vehicle to a stop.
A bus driver has been hailed a hero after managing to stop his vehicle despite being struck by a huge lamppost smashing through the windscreen.
CCTV footage appears to show Mao Zhihao chatting to someone before spotting the danger ahead, but he has little time to react before the giant blue pole pierces the glass.
He seems dive out of the way and manages to avoid being hit head-on, but the pole apparently swipes him to the left of his body. He suffered a ruptured spleen in the accident.
Mr Mao was able to bring the bus to a halt before rising to his feet and helping to evacuate the 26 passengers.
"I was pinned down by the lamppost and put the bus into gear instinctively," he said.

Austin Spitler was shocked to see friends and family performing a choreographed dance to Bruno Mars' Marry You as he passed through security at Will Rogers World Airport in Oklahoma on Monday.
He was even more astonished when his his girlfriend, Brittany Jones, got down on one knee, produced an engagement ring box and asked: 'Will you marry me?'
The whole event was captured on camera by local TV station KFOR.
Thankfully Miss Jones' effort paid off, and Mr Spitler said 'yes'. She recruited her friends J.D. Bynum and Nina Williamson to come up with a dance routine and rehearsals started three weeks ago.
'I'm so glad that we got to share in this,' Mr Bynum said, and Ms Williamson described the event as a 'tearjerker'.
Mr Spitler already had marriage on the cards, and after Miss Jones' proposal he retrieved an engagement ring from his hand luggage and returned the question.
'I love you. Will you marry me?' he asked Miss Jones, who also said 'yes'.
Mr Spitler said that he was not annoyed that his girlfriend got there first, and later he exclaimed: 'Oh my gosh this is the greatest day of my life. It's overwhelming for sure.'
It was the first time Miss Jones and Mr Spitler had seen each other for two years and they had only been in contact via email and letter.
